Who is William Shakespeare?

Even if you have not heard of William Shakespeare, you should know his works such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and The Merchant of Venice. Since none of these works have copyright issues, they are widely merged into other creations such as games, movies, anime and novels, so more and more people are aware of his works.

William Shakespeare (April 26, 1564 – April 23, 1616 – Age 52) is always regarded as the greatest English writer and dramatist. He lived in the period of Renaissance, and created lots of dramas and poems, 36 of them are included in Mr. William Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories, & Tragedies (First Folio), which is known as the first collection of his work. However, we now still cannot know the exact number of his work, as part of them are lost, while part of them are cooperation with other playwriters.
