Swimming

Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one’s entire body to move through water. Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. Swimming is a healthy activity that can be done by most people throughout their life. It is a low-impact workout that has several mental and bodily health benefits all while being a good recreational activity.

Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving whereby divers use breathing equipment that is completely independent of a surface air supply. Scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, usually compressed air, affording them greater independence and movement than surface-supplied divers, and more time underwater than free divers. Scuba Diving can help to strengthen the leg and the core strength.

Surfing

Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer (or two in tandem surfing), uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are primarily found on ocean shores, but can also be found in standing waves in the open ocean, in lakes, in rivers in the form of a tidal bore, or in wave pools.

Fishing

Fishing is the activity of trying to catch fish. Fish can also be obtained from water sources including ponds, canals, park wetlands, and reservoirs. Fish are typically taken as wild animals from their natural habitat. Fishing techniques include hand-gathering, spearing, netting, angling, shooting and trapping, as well as more destructive and often illegal techniques such as electrocution, blasting and poisoning.

Kayaking

Kayaking is the practise of paddling a kayak on water. It differs from paddling a canoe in that the paddlers sit differently and there are more paddles. A kayak is a low-to-the-water, canoe-like craft where the paddler sits facing forward with his legs straight ahead and rotates and pulls from front to back with a two-bladed paddle.
